Just redownloaded the installer and it worked. Seems like Rockstar have fixed the bug I was encountering as I was just able to install the launcher without doing anymore troubleshooting. I haven't seen anyone with the same issue as me from searching online and wondered if anyone has run into this or knows a fix. The last thing they suggested was reinstalling GTA V, which I am doing, but as I said before I don't think it'll work. I've submitted a ticket to Rockstar Support but so far all of their troubleshooting has been completely unrelated to my issue as it requires me to have the launcher installed. Although I don't think that'll solve my issue as I am still getting the error when trying to install the launcher. So I've now uninstalled every Rockstar program I had installed, deleted all Rockstar folders I could find and I am currently reinstalling GTA V. Please close down the Rockstar Games Launcher before running this installer. But you cannot play the game so what difference does it make whether its broken or limited. Theres a difference between 'Broken completely' and 'Limited', and they are all limited, not broken / down. I went and downloaded the installer from the Rockstar website but when I try and run it, it says: Stadia hosts all of its games servers within the Google data centers. So I verified the game files via Steam and it went through the first time setup and it got to the part where it installs the launcher and then I got the error again. Unable to locate Rockstar Games Launcher, please verify game data. In fact, I'll just link them here just to be safe. When the new launcher came out I tried running GTA V through Steam and immediately got an error message that said: You can find the sources for everything I said in the wikipedia articles of their respective games. It's true that Valve bought the right, but they also made the game with their own money and developers who just became theirs, so it's blatantly misinformation to call these games 3rd party.Ī friendly reminder for anyone reading this not to take anything you read at face value, especially a post that get silver minutes after getting posted. Even Turtle Rock was owned by Valve as Valve South when they released Left 4 Dead, and even before the acquisition they were still making L4D with Valve's money. Most developers from these games became Valve employees when they made those games, and many of them are still Valve employees to this day. They were free mods that Valve funded to be made into full games. Hell, most of what you list weren't even games before Valve got to them. Everything you listed were fully funded by Valve, which can't be said for the games that Epic brought under their exclusivity. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creeschīlatant false equivalancy and misinformation./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
